Jim Doyle says: “We joined Advancial Credit Union when we first got to Plano over 35 years ago. It was still located in the ARCO building back then. They’ve been our primary bank ever since, even when we lived overseas. They had a branch in Houston for when we lived down there, too! Great people. Great service.”

Cynthia and Joe Thomas have been members of the Credit Union since the early ’80’s. “We currently have savings, CD’s, money market and a Visa credit card account (love the cash back!) through Advancial,” said Cynthia. “The CD rates are many times better than what the big banks offer. They opened a branch in Frisco which is convenient if we ever need to do business in person.”

“I’ve been a member for over 40 years,” said Joyce Jones. “During that time, I moved to Canada on two separate occasions for work and kept my account there. Love it!”

“We still have the Advancial account that I opened with the AFCU in Midland in 1979 to take out my first car loan,” said Steve Sills. “No loans or mortgages at this stage of life – now we use it for Social Security and pension payment direct deposits!”

Bob Ouellette has been a loyal member since the early 1970’s. “I and my sons are the proud owners of accounts that carry the original 5 digit account codes,” said Bob. “In the early days I had my checking and savings there, as well as auto loans. After I moved to Frisco in 2000, my connection to Advancial became only occasional until they established a branch here in town. Now I go in to use their services on a more regular basis.”

Doug Trumbauer has been a member of Advancial Credit Union for nearly 40 years, covering most of his working life. “I currently volunteer as an associate director on the board of Advancial, participating in all things related to the direction and goals of the credit union.”
